Privacy Policy

Nordic Agencies Co., Ltd. (referred to as "the Company") establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in relation to the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as the "Services").

Article 1 (Personal Information)

"Personal Information" refers to the term "personal information" as defined under the Personal Information Protection Act , which means information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, or other descriptions contained therein. It also includes data such as facial images, fingerprints, voiceprints, and health insurance policy numbers, which can identify a specific individual by themselves (personally identifiable information).

Article 2 (Methods of Collecting Personal Information)

When users register for our services, we may request personal information such as their name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver's license number. In addition, we may collect transaction records and payment-related information, including users' personal information, from our business partners (including information providers, advertisers, advertising distributors, and hereinafter collectively referred to as "Partners") in connection with transactions made between users and such Partners.

Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)

The purposes for which the Company collects and uses personal information are as follows:

  1. To provide and operate the Company's Services
  2. To respond to users' inquiries (including identity verification)
  3. To send emails to the users informing them of new features, updates, campaigns for the Services being used, as well as information on other services provided by the Company
  4. To contact users as necessary for maintenance, important notices, or other communications
  5. To identify users who violate the Terms of Use or attempt to use the Services for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to reject such use
  6. To allow users to view, modify, or delete their registered information and view their usage status
  7. To charge users fees for paid services
  8. For purposes incidental to the above-mentioned objectives

Article 4 (Changes to Purpose of Use)

  1. The Company may change the purposes of use of Personal Information only when it is reasonably recognized that the new purposes are related to the purposes prior to the change.
  2. In the event of a change in the purposes of use, the Company shall notify users of the revised purposes by the method prescribed by the Company or publicly announce them on this website.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

  1. The Company will not provide Personal Information to third parties without the prior consent of the user, except in the following cases, or when permitted under the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws and regulations:
    1. When it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual.
    2. When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or to promote the healthy development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual.
    3. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government agency, local government, or an entrusted party in carrying out duties prescribed by law and obtaining the consent of the individual is likely to impede the execution of such duties.
    4. When the following matters have been notified or publicly announced in advance, and the Company has submitted a notification to the Personal Information Protection Commission:
      1. The fact that the purpose of use includes provision to third parties.
      2. The items of data to be provided to third parties.
      3. The means or methods of providing information to third parties.
      4. The fact that provision of Personal Information to third parties will be suspended upon the request of the individual.
      5. The means for receiving requests from the individual.
  2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the recipient of such information shall not be deemed a third party in the following cases:
    1. When the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of Personal Information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
    2. When Personal Information is provided in connection with business succession resulting from a merger or other reasons.
    3. When Personal Information is jointly used with a specified party, and the individual has been notified in advance, or is placed in a situation to readily obtain knowledge of the following: the fact of such joint use, the items of Personal Information to be jointly used, the scope of the joint users, the purpose of use by the joint users, and the name or title of the person responsible for managing the Personal Information.

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

  1. When the Company receive a request from an individual for the disclosure of their Personal Information, the Company will promptly disclose it to the individual. However, if disclosure falls under any of the following categories, the Company may withhold all or part of the information. In that event, the Company will promptly notify the individual of our decision not to disclose. Please note that a handling fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged for disclosure of Personal Information.
    1. Where there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
    2. Where there is a risk of causing a significant impediment to the proper execution of our business
    3. Where it would otherwise violate laws and regulations
  2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, information other than Personal Information, such as history information and characteristic information, shall not be disclosed in principle.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

  1. If a user believes that their Personal Information held by the Company contains errors, the user may request the correction, addition, or deletion of such Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as "Correction, etc.") in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Company.
  2. Upon receiving a request as described in the preceding paragraph and determining that it is necessary to respond to such a request, the Company shall promptly carry out the Correction, etc. of the relevant personal information.
  3. When the Company has made a Correction, etc., pursuant to the preceding paragraph, or has decided not to make such a Correction, etc., the Company shall promptly notify the user of that decision.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use, etc. of Personal Information)

  1. If the Company is requested by an individual to suspend or delete the use of their Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as "Suspension of Use, etc.") on the grounds that such information is being handled beyond the scope of the intended purpose of use, or that it has been obtained through improper means, the Company shall promptly conduct the necessary investigation.
  2. Based on the results of the investigation described in the preceding paragraph, if the Company determines that it is necessary to comply with the request, the Company shall promptly implement the Suspension of Use, etc. of the relevant Personal Information.
  3. When the Company has implemented a Suspension of Use, etc. pursuant to the preceding paragraph, or has decided not to do so, the Company shall promptly notify the user of that decision.
  4. Notwithstanding the preceding 2nd paragraph (Article 8.2), if implementing the Suspension of Use, etc. would require substantial expense or is otherwise difficult to carry out, and alternative measures can be taken to protect the user's rights and interests, the Company shall take such alternative measures.

Article 9 (Amendments to the Privacy Policy)

  1. Except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations or in this Policy, the contents of this Policy may be amended without prior notice to users.
  2. Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
